This room used to be the kitchen of the house, which brings me on a funny fact. You will probably expect that the siesta is originated from Spain, nothing is less true: Portugal is the founder of the siesta. Between 13h and 15h most stores still close and all Portuguese are going home to have lunch with their families or at the local restaurant to order ‘o prato do dia’ and socialize with ‘uma bica’.
Size: 14m²
Guests: 1-2
Bed: Kingsize bed
View: Side house with the old pine tree
Special: Largest bathroom in the house
This charismatic room on the first floor, has a kingsize bed (180x200) and an industrial look with the old beam going through. It has an open closet to put your clothes and suitcase. And a chair with side table to gaze outside or get some work done. The spacious private bathroom has a rain and hand shower. But more important, it has the most beautiful painting in the house. If you wake up, wash your face and look up, you will not see your sleepy puffy morning face, but the most stunning view over the valley of Ribeira d’Ilhas. It even gives you a glimpse from your bed, that's the beginning of a very bom dia!
The house offers a fully equipped kitchen, with a dining table in front of the fireplace. A coffee corner with a good filter machine and grinder, to make a freshly ground coffee. A little desk to get some work done. And a big lounge sofa, overlooking the valley and garden. The garden has a pool with sunbeds, some cozy areas to chill, a fireplace and a veranda with bbq and huge Portuguese table.
