You will find our brand new and very comfortable villa on the hills, overlooking the dramatic cliffs and picturesque beach of São Julião. The moment you enter the property you can feel the special vibe and enjoy the spectacular views.

The Barefoot Villa gives you the opportunity to meet ánd retreat. A combination of the convenience of an easeful condo, where you can connect with others. And the luxury of a private villa, where you can have the comfort and space to retreat.

Luxurious comfort in a refreshing interior

The Villa offers a fully furnished apartment in a condominium with 11 other apartments. It is decorated with a subtle mix of modern luxury and a homy warm atmosphere. A stunning view from every window, overlooking the beautiful valley and beach of São Julião. With her dramatic cliffs, creating a stunning backdrop, and a reliable swell, perfect for the beginner or intermediate surfer.

Live like a queen

The living room offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, working station and a comfy sofa to enjoy the stunning views. The working station includes a desk and a comfy chair.
Prefer to not combine work and live? You can easily move the desk to the separate room in the back. There is a good WiFi connection and an air conditioning unit in every room.

Sleep in comfort

The 2 bedrooms have a big and comfy king size bed and a large inbuilt closet. Both bedrooms have a connected balcony and an amazing sea view.
The 2 bathrooms, one on ground level and one on the first floor, both have a hand and rain shower, a toilet and a sink.

Ocean views

Outside we have a chill area to admire the morning sun, a dinner table to enjoy meals with your buddies ánd a lounge area to check out the amazing sun set or your swimming pals in the pool. Because yes, we share an ocean overlooking pool with our neighbors.

Located in the middle of
raw beauty

We are located a 15 minute drive away from Ericeira. And did we mention that the beach is only a 10 minute walk? With her dramatic cliffs and reliable swell, this is one of the most unspoiled beaches around. The long stretch of beach offers multiple peaks with both lefts and rights. At low tide the beach stretches for a couple of kilometers, perfect for a good beach walk or a run. Also there is some seriously good hiking on the cliffs. And in the off season it’s easy to find a private spot in the middle of this raw beauty.

There are 2 spots close by to have a drink and food. One is up on the cliff, a basic café, perfect to have something simple whilst enjoying the scenic coastline. And down at the beach, the Voyage Bar, which offers one of the beast pizza’s around, very fresh and tasty!

They provided excellent communication and always made sure that I had the support I needed, whether that was helping arrange transport or offering recommendations for local events. The location is beautiful and only a short walk away from the beach. Everyone in the house was very friendly and kind, which made my experience even better. We planned to stay one month at Barefoot in March but as soon as we arrived we knew, it's a place where you wanna stay longer, so we extended rightaway. 🙂 The rooms are beautiful, spacious with a warm design. The garden and the view into the lush valley are absolutly amazing and I loved to sit outside, hearing the birds chirp. You have the chance to meet many like-minded people but there's also enough space if you want some time to yourselve. We loved our stay so much, that we already booked our next stay - so see you soon! 🙂

The accommodation itself was fantastic, featuring a pool and a coworking space—perfect for a workation. The common areas are very cosy and equipped with literally everything you might need (loved the leaf tea selection 😍). The kind of people who stay at the coliving are also amazing! Very open minded, friendly and inspiring. Location is great: 30 min drive from Lisbon airport (taxi is really cheap), you’re surrounded by nature which makes your stay serene and peaceful. I can’t wait to come back!!

Barefoot is a lovely guesthouse. The rooms are cosy and the whole house is a gorgeous place. The location is idyllic, just outside of Ericeira - out of the crowds but still close enough to get their easily. For surfing is Ribeira D’Ilhas beach close by and very awesome. The communication with the extremely kind host, Marion was relaxed and she (and her parents) made our stay a pleasant one. We would 10/10 recommend this to others.

I spent 10 days at Barefoot Guesthouse and it was simply wonderful. Thanks to Marion you will find a home away from home. The house has everything you need and so much more. 10min walk to the beach and 8min drive to the town. A big backyard for outside yoga or workouts. A pool for a cold plunge (i was there in feb). Marion even has a list with incredible delicious restaurants near by. If you reading this, just book your room and I promise you wont regret it.

A perfectionist when it comes to the high quality and standard of the interior and comfort, yet easy going and natural. the Place has a really good size to enable both community and private living. it’s tranquil and quiet yet close to everything you need and ericeira center by car. we spent a month in the apartment as a family and felt at home. a nice Place to be with friends or meet new people with serene surrounding, quality and style.

The Barefoot guesthouse was truly a pleasant discovery. We stayed for a week and it was like being at home. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and finely renovated bathrooms. The common livingroom is very sunny, facing on the patio and the swimming pool. The owner, Marion, was always available for what we needed, from the breakfast to suggest us the right yoga and surf courses. Furthermore, the location is perfect, completely surrounded by greenery but one step away from the beach and Ericeira. We highly recommend it!

With our friends we settled in Barefoot Guesthouse for a long weekend. What a dream house! We relaxed by the pool and in the evening we could all eat at a large table in the living room. There is a neat, communal kitchen with a spacious oven and quality kitchen utensils. There is even a coffee table where you grind fresh beans and froth milk for the tastiest coffees. Waking up with a cappuccino & a view over the valley, what more could you want! Our room "The Homy Balcony" was very romantic. Lots of daylight with a large (nice!) bed, nice balcony and a good shower. Not unimportant; the room has dark curtains so we could sleep in for a long time 🙂 The surroundings of Barefoot Guesthouse are beautiful, there are a number of hiking trails in the valley and you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes, along the rugged coast there are also many hiking trails with spectacular views over the ocean. The wine tasting with picknick at Quinta de Sant'Ana (which was recommended by our host Marion) is also highly recommended. Barefoot Guesthouse Ericeira has everything for the perfect holiday!

What a lovely place, with fantastic views and a relaxed atmosphere. The room was nice, spacious and had a great bed. In the beautiful village of Ericeira you can enjoy shopping and delicious food. This guesthouse is one to fall in love with. We were sleeping in the spacious room, well it is very spacious, light and beautiful. The bed is so comfy, I slept better here than in my own bed (well that's something, never had that before). The (rain) shower feels great, there is plenty of hot water and the shower gel smells like you're in paradise. The general living room/kitchen is spacious, but very cosy. I really love all the little details the hostess brought to the house (the couch doesn't only look amazing, it also sits very comfy). The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a nice meal. There is even a dishwasher and it opens itself when finished (wow!). The garden gives you a relaxed feeling, it's spacious, got romantic places to sit, there is a swimming pool and what I liked most; many different fruits are growing there like grapes, passion fruit, pomegranate, apricots, cape gooseberries, pine nuts... It's a 10 minute walk to the beach. Ericeira has a lot to offer, more beaches, shops, beach clubs, many restaurants (fresh fish!!). I will definitely book again! What a place!

lovely bright and stylish rooms in a cozy guesthouse. Large shared living room and kitchen, where you can do your own thing and relax. Beautiful large green garden, with enough private corners to retreat to, and with a lovely swimming pool (approx. 11x5m?) to swim laps. Sandy beach with surf spot and good beach bar within fifteen minutes walking distance. You can also take lovely walks and bike rides from the guesthouse. Ericeira is a lovely town around the corner, a 5-minute drive away, with good restaurants and terraces, nice shops, and a relaxed atmosphere. The owner can also give you great ideas for other nice places and activities in the area, or provide you with more luxury at the guesthouse itself (if you don't want to leave the house). Highly recommended this guesthouse, I can say convincingly after having been here for 2.5w with my 2 teenage kids!
